Ceramic Tea Pitcher
We often find ourselves making two cups of tea at a time - and in that situation we were reaching over and over for two cup measuring cup.
This pitcher, made by Ceramica in Portland Maine, is a big step up.
Sized to make just the right amount of tea for two people, pair it with either of our stainless steel tea strainers and you're ready to go.
I’m often nervous about buying pottery from companies in the US because they tend towards being very weighty. But this is lovely, light and has a nice handle that is easy to manage a pour. The teapot effect certainly happens with the lip of the spout but since it has a thicker taper that is unavoidable unless you pour fast and stop fast. (I still dribble but I don’t mind it. I’m rather used to it now from most of my tea ware. Hehe)
Sturdy, well-crafted pitcher. Use this for water, tea or milk. It tends to drip from the wide angle spout. Use a determined pour and you'll overcome the early design flaw. Love the rustic texture and perfect choice of color.
