Yu Lu Green

Origin: Hubei Province

$1.00

This green tea, sometimes called En Shi Yu Lu, or Jade Dew (恩施玉露) is grown in the selenium-rich soil of the Wufeng Mountains in Hubei's Enshi Prefecture. Vegetal and buttery, it brews light and clear - reminiscent of fine Japanese Sencha.

Steeped normally, it produces a lovely pale green brew - quite light. A stronger cup may be obtained using more tea leaves, warmer water and a longer steep time. An excellent tea for those who want to enjoy a green tea without the punch that so many ordinary greens carry.

Our Yu Lu Green is pure whole leaf organic Chinese tea, Fair Trade certified and sublimely drinkable. A marvelous tea to accompany you throughout a busy morning and into the early afternoon, a tea both for the dedicated tea consumer and one for the casual tea drinker as well.

Yu Lu Green is available by 3.75 oz tin or by the pound. Wondering if you'll like it? Try a taste! Tasting samples are available for all our teas and good for at least two cups.

Love this company

So grateful for Little Red Cup Tea Co., Just tried this Yu Lu Green, because I ran out of my supply of Green Mao Jian. Was so sad to see the Green Mao Jian go, but I was assured by email from little red cup tea that I would find yu lu green to be very similar. It is a phenomenal tea, subtle with beautiful and complex flavor. I enjoy it so much! Can't say enough about how wonderful I think this company is, highly recommend them and their teas! Such quality and superb customer service!

Yu Lu Green Tea

Nice tea that is light in color and is not bitter. The taste is hard to describe. Vernal with a spring vegetable flavor.
Very different from other green teas I have had.

Yu Lu Green is smooth

I did an at-home green tea tasting of a bunch of Chinese greens and this one is smooth and earthy with some sweetness too. Can resteep a couple times. Cold brew works too.
